RCUSA Report on Annual Refugee Admissions for FY21

Washington, DC – The 2021 fiscal year (FY21) saw two administrations with very different public stances on refugee resettlement. However, despite raising the refugee admissions goal for FY21 to 62,500 the Biden administration failed to meet even the refugee admissions goal of 15,000 previously set by the Trump administration. RCUSA releases this annual report to illustrate where the US failed to welcome refugees this year, and highlight ways advocates can help ensure the US meet its FY22 goal of 125,000.
