Washington, DC – Refugee Council USA is pleased to announce the addition of its latest member Kids In Need of Defense (KIND). KIND is the leading US nonprofit advocating for the rights and protection of unaccompanied and separated migrant children. KIND strives to provide legal and social services for vulnerable and unaccompanied children, providing essential medical and mental health care, education, and crisis intervention.
John Slocum, RCUSA’s Interim Executive Director shared “We are thrilled to have KIND part of the RCUSA coalition. Their expertise and dedication to vulnerable children will provide essential support for the expansion of our network’s advocacy on behalf of unaccompanied children.”
KIND’s Chief of Staff Hardy Vieux also recently joined RCUSA’s board of directors.
