RCUSA’s 2025 Impact Report

A Message from RCUSA Executive Director John Slocum:
The year just ending has been extraordinarily difficult for those seeking a safe haven in the United States, as it has been for those – many of them former refugees themselves – who serve refugees and other forcibly displaced persons.

Refugee Council USA (RCUSA) is a powerful advocacy coalition that unites more than 40 national nonprofits. We have met the moment with an Action Plan that has two straightforward goals: defend protections for refugees and other forcibly displaced people, and reimagine those protections for the future. Throughout the year, RCUSA has stood alongside our member organizations, fighting for core humanitarian principles.

This year marked RCUSA’s 25th anniversary. Our coalition’s history is one of resilience, adaptation, and unwavering commitment to serving millions of displaced people. Read the full 2025 Impact Report to learn more about our accomplishments as we look toward another 25 years of this critical work.
