RCUSA welcomes Project ANAR as the coalition's newest member

December 12, 2024

Washington, DC – Refugee Council USA’s board of directors has voted unanimously to welcome Project ANAR as the newest member of RCUSA.

Project ANAR is an Afghan community immigration justice organization led by Afghan American women. Project ANAR is dedicated to providing legal services, community education, and advocacy to Afghan immigrants. Their work – and particularly their focus on legal aid and empowerment. is crucial to advancing rights and protections for Afghan communities.

Through their leadership and collaboration with immigration lawyers, Project ANAR amplifies the voices of Afghan immigrants, ensuring they receive the support they need to navigate the complex immigration system. Their efforts strengthen our collective ability to advocate for just and humane immigration policies that protect and uplift forcibly displaced communities.

We look forward to partnering with Project ANAR to drive meaningful change and promote a more inclusive, equitable future for all.

RCUSA is a diverse coalition advocating for just and humane laws and policies, and the promotion of dialogue and communication among government, civil society, and those who need protection and welcome. Individual RCUSA members do not all address all refugee-related issues, nor do all individual members approach common refugee-related issues identically.
