October 28, 2024

RCUSA releases quarterly reports to monitor the rates of US refugee arrivals and share corresponding policy and program recommendations. In consultation with Congress, President Biden set a refugee admissions goal of 125,000 for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24). As a result of the administration’s innovations and the tireless work of resettlement agencies, partner organizations, and community members, the United States welcomed 100,034 arrivals in FY24, the highest level of refugee admissions in three decades. This achievement was made possible through a combination of rebuilding and modernizing refugee resettlement infrastructure, innovations such as the new Welcome Corps initiative, enhanced screening and processing mechanisms, and expanded refugee access to resettlement.
