FY25 (Q1) Refugee Arrivals Report

Report
January 14, 2025

RCUSA releases quarterly reports to monitor the rates of US refugee arrivals and share corresponding policy and program recommendations. In consultation with Congress, President Biden set a refugee admissions goal of 125,000 for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25). This follows a historic fiscal year record of 100,034 arrivals to the US in FY24, the highest level of refugee admissions in three decades. This year’s goal responds to the unprecedented global displacement crisis and upholds our nation’s commitment to resettle the most vulnerable refugees to safety and stability. The US refugee admissions goal serves as a bellwether, signaling our global leadership role, advancing our national and global security priorities, enhancing our diplomatic relationships with countries hosting large refugee populations, and fostering cultural diversity.
