Take Action: Tell Your National Elected Leaders to Support Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and Forcibly Displaced Communities
Since January 2025, refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals who have experienced forced displacement, in the United States and abroad, have braced for and endured a barrage of attacks on their well-being, safety, and status. This administration has suspended the U.S. resettlement program, eviscerated the asylum system, dismantled temporary humanitarian protections, expanded immigrant detention and mass deportation, and undermined due process and the rule of law. It is essential that our elected leaders understand the impact of these challenges by hearing directly from their constituents.
You can make a difference today. On June 8–10, 2026, refugee and forcibly displaced community leaders, local service providers, and a diverse array of allies are headed to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to urge Congress to fight for refugee, asylum, and humanitarian programs. Even if you’re not joining us in person, amplify the chorus of voices calling for welcoming policies by contacting your Members of Congress throughout the month of June and especially the week of June 8th.
