#WeWillWelcome

Join us in a national campaign to share YOUR story of welcome!

The #WeWillWelcome Campaign is calling on impacted communities, whether directly impacted by harsh new policies or impacted as a business owner, teacher, faith leader, volunteer, resettlement employee who has been laid off, or fellow American who has chosen to stand up for your neighbors, to share YOUR stories.

Your experiences matter, and by sharing them, we as a collective of organizations and individuals can amplify the voices of those affected- directly and indirectly- to highlight the human toll of these harmful policies, as well as uplift the heartwarming stories of our communities coming together in solidarity and compassion. Whether you choose to share your story anonymously or openly, we are committed to ensuring your security and safety throughout the process.

Your story will be shared on social media to shed light on the challenges faced by those who have been impacted by the Trump administration’s harmful policies, helping to create a more compassionate and informed conversation around resettlement. Your voice is powerful, and together, we can make a difference.

Safety and Security Measures:

In a time where speaking out may cause fear and uncertainty for the safety of oneself/family/friends, there are multiple efforts taken to ensure that participants feel safe to share their stories.

  • Stories are being collected via video, audio, or written. If you choose to be anonymous, audio and written stories will be shared WITHOUT names or specifics such as location, last name, etc.
  • All stories will have the option for individuals to connect with a vetted volunteer for a 1:1 meeting to help record or talk through your experiences. If you do not feel comfortable filling out the form to send in your story, these 1:1 phone calls will assist ensuring anonymity when sharing your story.

Story Examples:

The goal: Share a story to INSPIRE our communities into ACTION. A story to showcase why people should CARE. Why do YOU care?

  • What are some moments when you have shown resilience and perseverance despite challenges that can offer people hope and a vision of what is possible?
  • You or your family have experienced uncertainty and fear around your status within the U.S.
  • Your business, place of work, place of worship, etc, has been impacted by raids.
  • Your community has come together to assist a neighboring family, through protest, assistance, food delivery, etc. Why did you SHOW UP?
  • Stories of direct impact from Executive Orders that have rolled out since January 20, 2025.
  • You were laid off from your job in the resettlement sector, and how this has impacted you, the communities you served, your colleagues, etc.
  • You are a service provider and currently work with impacted communities and are experiencing overload of work and stress due to funding cuts and colleagues being laid off.
