Gender Based Violence Working Group
The GBV Working Group focuses on building advocacy efforts and enhanced service provider capacity in support of US-based forcibly displaced GBV survivors.
In March 2024, the RCUSA Board of Directors unanimously voted to launch a Gender Based Violence (GBV) Working Group.
About
The GBV Working Group has three main areas of focus:
- Advocacy for federal policies that support US-based forcibly displaced GBV survivors.
- Building capacity for service providers who serve forcibly displaced GBV survivors.
- Serve as a space for collaboration and solidarity across member organizations.

This module focuses on the foundational skills of working with clients who are survivors of intimate partner violence. You will learn what intimate partner violence is, what foundational skills you need to respond safely and in a survivor-centered way, and how to use those skills with your clients.

End Gender Based Violence Against Refugees - HIAS
HIAS works to end Gender-Based Violence provide women and girls, LGBTQ+ people, and survivors of GBV with the tools and resources to find solidarity, build resilience, take back power, and heal. We also provide GBV prevention programming for men and boys to enable change that is lifesaving, transformative, and sustainable. We accomplish this through three main strategies: risk reduction, response, and prevention.
