FY24 First Quarter Refugee Arrivals Report
Report
February 28, 2024
RCUSA releases quarterly reports to monitor the rates of US refugee arrivals and share corresponding policy and program recommendations. President Biden set a refugee admissions goal for FY24 of 125,000. For the first quarter, the US resettled 21,793 refugees. The US has made significant strides in overseas processing, and these Q1 arrivals numbers indicate a return to pre-Trump arrivals rates. However, these overseas processing improvements must be met with equal supports to domestic capacity building.
