Communications Committee
Convening communications experts for long term narrative change and rapid response
About the Communications Committee
RCUSA’s Communications Committee (CC) is a unique hub that is able to convene a diverse set of stakeholders, and communications and subject matter experts in support of building more welcoming societies. The CC bridges the coalition’s strategic communications and advocacy work, and acts as a central hub for national level messaging, best practices, resources, and common-good projects in support of forcibly displaced people.
RCUSA and the Communications Committee are partners on projects with the Refugee Storyteller’s Collective, and the Refugee Advocacy Lab, and have previously collaborated with the StoryCorps team to share and celebrate stories of Muslim refugees rebuilding home in the US.

RCUSA member organizations Refugee International, IRAP, IRC, and Refugee Congress co-founded the Refugee Advocacy Lab to help grow the movement for US leadership on refugee protection and inclusion, centered in the perspective of leadership of displaced people themselves.
